The Old Sailor Coffee recipe was born at sea: a hundred years ago, the fishermen of the mid-Adriatic warmed themselves from the frost by drinking hot coffee, to which they combined rum and aniseed distillates. You can enjoy it hot or cold: if you drink it hot – as tradition dictates – you will feel the rum exalted, while aniseed and coffee will come second; if you prefer it cold, you will enjoy a perfect harmony between the aromas. To this ancient tradition is added that of Caffe’ Barbera which for 150 years has been careful to guarantee the highest quality coffee by following recipes handed down with care and in secret from generation to generation. So we chose our precious Mago blend for this distillate: 7 types of coffee selected for a superior quality taste.
